Restored to a design by the architects Giovanna Mar, Giorgio Galeazzo and Ruben Verdi, the complex of the former Geriatric Hospital of Padua comprises a total of eighteen buildings – thirteen of which have been redeveloped and five built from scratch – destined to become the new Humanistic Center of the University. In addition to the teaching spaces (17 classrooms for about 1,400 seats and two computer rooms), the approximately 14,000 square meters of intervention include offices, departments and dedicated services, including a 5,000 square meter library and a 250-seat Aula Magna.
