Built during the Austro-Hungarian rule, the former Palazzo del Tribunale in Treviso is a building that stands out owing to its central position opposite the cathedral in Piazza Duomo, its size and austere architecture. With its severe lines, the symmetrical façade has a regular sequence of windows on three levels. Its reconversion to offices both exploits and enhances its original use, whilst transforming its image completely. The conservative restoration project began with the static reinforcement of the building, including the reconstruction of the foundations and the creation of an underground car park with a disappearing ramp. The modular, flexible distribution on the office floor has created 100 work places, meeting and conference rooms provided with every possible comfort, and high-level technological and computerized equipment. Elegant and essential, the interiors are light and full of natural light, also thanks to the slim burnished brass profiles in the OS2 75 system used for all the doors and windows.
