Extensive glass surfaces need greater inertia and consequently mullions with larger sections: 4F1 proposes the solution with structural mullions in steel, stainless steel or corten steel of reduced sections (50 mm) and elevated moment of inertia to guarantee the static values required while maintaining the effects of lightness and transparency of the faҫade.
4F1 interprets the design of the frame in numerous possible variations and integrates windows and doors guaranteeing the very best performance.
The 4F1 system performance has been tested by the best European certification laboratories in conformity with the standard EN 13830 regulations.

4F 1 is a thermal break system for curtain walls with mullions and transoms with structural sections of depths from 50 mm to 180 mm and width 50 mm.
The elevated elasticity modulus of the metal guarantees a solid structure that is at the same time light and versatile.
Air and water-tightness are ensured by a system of EPDM gaskets realized with drainage grooves to provide run-off for any seepage.
The 56 mm glazing panel is inserted frontally and placed on specific glass supports that are secured to the structural profiles and fixed to the mullions and transoms by means of a steel external cover pre-drilled for the application of screws.

The 4F 1 transom/mullion can be 50 mm or 100 mm thick. The size of the internal profiles and external covers is 50 mm; the depth of the cover is 16 mm for the mullions and 13 mm for the transoms.
