Carla Juaçaba, Vatican Chapels – Rio de Janeiro
ioArch n.76 july 2018

Two large crosses, one vertical and one horizontal, parallel to the ground. Steel bars that reflect the surrounding environment making the chapel almost disappear. The sculpture of Carta Juaçaba, a young Brazilian architect who became famous for the temporary exhibition pavilion designed for Humanidade 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, is a poetic and minimal sculpture.
