Rem Koolhaas, Fondaco dei Tedeschi – Venezia
Domus n.1032 february 2019

The Fondaco dei Tedeschi, the historic building overlooking the Grand Canal near the Rialto bridge, has always played a central role in the life of Venice. Since last September the space has returned to its commercial vocation thanks to the architectural restoration project by Rem Koolhaas – founding partner of the OMA studio, Office for Metropolitan Architecture, – and to the interior design curated by the English architect Jamie Fobert.
